This episode is inspired by a song I love by Brandi Carlile called “Before It Breaks.”  The full lyric inspiring this episode is “Let it bend before it breaks,” and I think this is a perfect way to describe the healthiest way to move through family-building struggles. 

We tend to get stuck in a certain way, path, or pattern of moving through challenging times, and this episode is about creating flexibility.  This effectively helps you “bend” through adversity, rather than stiffly moving through and risking ultimately breaking.
